What Parents have to say about their experience at Ms. Lisa's Dance
My daughter has been a student of Ms. Lisa's for 6 years. Throughout the years Ms. Lisa's Dance Studio has become her home away from home. The teachers are all wonderful with the children and very caring. They are also very committed to their craft. In my daughter's words, she likes Ms. Lisa's because "they treat you with dignity and respect. They teach you in a fun and helpful way without force or anger". Performing has become my daughter's passion. When she started dancing I never dreamed she'd become so good and that she would end up in competitive dancing. Ms. Lisa and her staff are like family.We found Ms. Lisa's dance studio while driving into Tampa from North Carolina. We are a military family and relocate about every 2 to 3 years. Because of our life style we (or I should say I) look for after school activities that have a friendly environment. (I am all about the warm fuzzes). Once we got settled my daughter and I went to Ms. Lisa's studio to check it out. Right off the bat we were welcomed by Ms. Lisa. She made us feel right at home. She gave my daughter and I a tour and information about classes. A few days later we were back at the studio to sign up for classes. I was surprised at the wide range of dance classes offered at Ms. Lisa's. She has classes for young children, tweens and teens. She has assistants in most of her younger classes which allows for one on one attention to be given to each student. All of the teachers at Ms. Lisa's are well trained and have many years of dance experience. My daughter took 3 classes last year which included a combo class, hip hop and musical theater. Over the summer months, Ms. Lisa offers dance camps which are very popular. This Summer Ms. Lisa asked my daughter to help out with the camps...this made her feel very special. She would tell me she had to go to work at Ms. Lisa's. This year my daughter is taking a number of classes which include pre-point, turns and transition, musical theater and she is on one of Ms. Lisa's competition dance teams. My daughter is at the studio must afternoons... and while she is there she can do her homework in the homework room Lisa has provided. My daughter and I love being at Ms. Lisa's dance studio... it is like being at home... where you are greeted with a smile and a big hug.
Ms. Lisas' is an amazing studio which encourages students of all ages and abilities. The teachers foster a love for dance by teaching technique in a fun environment. My daughter has learned more than just dance skills, she has gained the confidence to be on stage and to believe in herself.
